Sketch Challenge Inspiration

Hi there, it's Eva with you today reminding you of our September and October Sketch challenge Nicole posted a couple of weeks ago.  Make sure you participate as you could win some yummy Creative Imaginations prizes!

So, we have a sketch for you, and this time you can interpret it either as a layout, or a card.  Since I prefer to work with cards, I thought I would create a card to show you, a sketch can be worked in different ways.  Hope it helps you a little.  Here is what I came up with!

Remember these few guidelines when entering.  Your entry must be created for the challenge and consist of 80% Creative Imaginations products.  You will then be automatically entered into a drawing to win a great prize valued at at least $25 from Creative Imaginations. Challenge must have more than one entry to be considered valid.   Hurry this challenge ends October 31, 2011!

September and October Sketch Challenge!

It's been a little while since we've had a sketch challenge, and I for one have missed it!  I think it's time to bring this old favorite back! 

You remember how we play, right?  Simply create a layout, card, or altered item based on the sketch posted here each month and upload it into appropriate folder in the C.I. gallery under "Sketches and Challenges".  NOTE: You can post your challenge submission either in the September Sketch Gallery or October Sketch Gallery!

June Card Sketch

Hey everyone, Jenn here.... This is the first time I have ever drawn up a sketch... hope you enjoy it! Feel free to rotate or tweak the sketch in any way you see fit. Aake sure you use at least 80% Creative Imaginations product and upload it into the June Sketch Folder in the Creative Imagination's gallery.  Don't forget, you could win a prize packaged valued at $25! Hope you will play along ;) 



 
I had fun playing with my punches and ultrafine glitter.... it's a new adventure for me to create a card not using one single stamp!!! I enjoyed the challenge and am happy with this cute card I created... I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! (Note: when doing this challenge you of course CAN use stamps, I just chose not to )

May & June Layout Sketch Contest

Who's ready for a Layout challenge?  I don't know about you, but if you ask me, there's nothing worse than staring blankly at a 12" square of white paper!  Planning a scrapbook page is arguably the hardest part of scrapbooking for me, and that's why I love sketches so much!  They make getting started so much easier! So with that being said, let me present to you our newest layout sketch:

 

As always, feel free to rotate or tweak the sketch in any way you see fit...add more photos, less paper, whatever tickles your fancy!  Just make sure you use at least 80% Creative Imaginations product and upload it into the May or June Sketch Folder in the Creative Imagination's gallery.  Don't forget, you could win a prize packaged valued at $25!

I'm super excited to share my sample layout featuring the adorable new "Heidi" Collection from Samantha Walker.  This line is so vibrant and colorful, and just screams Spring!  I figured that was just what I needed for this Easter photo of my nephew when he was just an itty bitty guy: 

  

I mixed in a little bit of the awesome gingham basics and made a couple embellishments bycutting one of the die cuts shapes in half along with a pretty doily and cutting in in half.  I love how the layout ends up feeling Eastery without feeling super girly!

And because I just couldn't stop once I  going, I threw together this cute card while I was at it!  I just couldn't resist layering together some cute little posies with that gorgeous blue paper and my Cricut :)

February Card Sketch and January winner!!

September Sketch Winner and our November Sketch!

Wow! This month has certainly flown by - we have been so busy that we failed to post our September Layout sketch winner! This month we are happy to announce that we picked "Cindy {77hairdoc}" as our prize winner! Cindy really captured her son's graduation from boot camp with our Marines collection!

We are posting our November layout sketch a few days early! This month we will be giving away a prize package of our new Harry Potter Collection!  Here are a few simple guidlines to follow!

Surf's up!

If you're like me, you love a good sketch.  By the looks of the entries in this month's contest, it appears that many people have enjoyed June's sketch.  It's sure been fun seeing how everyone is using their Creative Imaginations products this month.  

Summer has hit in full swing at my house.  The days are lazy and the thermometer is running high.  We haven't been to the beach yet this summer, but it was fun reminiscing about our week spent in a beach house two years ago.  I absolutely love Helen Dardik's new Beach Days line.  The Surf's Up and Sandcastle Die Cut papers are great fun and provide an entirely new look to beach layouts.  

I hope your summer is going well and is filled with lazy days too, spent soaking up the sun.

Sweet Summer Days!

This past week was the official start of Summer! Barbeques, pool parties and family get togethers are what this time of year is all about!
