I wanted to do a bit of "OUTTA THE BOX" thinking..
for the Splash of Color/May Arts Blog Hop!

Lynne Forsythe here sharing with you my creation using 
Silk Acrylic Glaze and May Arts Ribbons.

I began by trimming the May Arts Floral Sheer Ribbon,
close to the flowers.

I then, colored each of the May Arts Floral Sheer Ribbon flowers
with 3 different Silk Acrylic Glaze colors.
(see product list below) 

I spritzed the ribbon with water,
getting it very wet,
then applied the Silks to the flowers
and watched the MAGIC BEGIN!

While the ribbon was still wet, I layed it on a natural canvas
and let the Silks bleed into the canvas.
OH THE LOVE!!

I then used a piece of White 1.25" Silk Ribbon,
spritz it heavily with water and
painted on
Cinnamon Silks Acrylic Glaze
and
Nutmeg Silks Acrylic Glaze.

I wrapped the colored ribbon around opposite ends of the canvas
and tied a loop bow! 

 I coverd a chipboard corner with Viva Colour ~ Amber Gold Ferro
and dabbed on a bit of Cinnamon Brown and Nutmeg Silks Acrylic Glaze.

Then I added some BEAUTIFUL flowers,
which I spritzed with Radiant Rain ~ Shimmering Mist ~ Pearl Gold 
to round out my creation! 

I just love the quote I chose...

Shelley, here, with a fun tag that I made using Splash of Color and May Arts products!!

I started with a manilla tag that I papered.  I cut out the clown from some paper, and used some  Swarovski bling for the buttons.  I  put a playing card on the tag, along with a May Arts flower that I colored with Viva Colour Metal Effects Paint.  I also painted some of the stars on the paper with the same paint.  I sprinkled a little glitter on the flower and stars for some shine.  I used some paper straws and some cut out words with some twine to finish this tag off!
