Hello and Happy Tuesday!
Tina here again today with my first Guest Designer project share.
I love 3-D projects. Projects that are off the page and projects that have little bits of goodness, delight, and sparkle. I call my project today my 'Art Angel' and she possesses all of that.
I started off with a bare chipboard from Paper Whimsy and decided where I wanted her 'parts' to be placed.
Green, Blue, and Gold is one of my favorite color combinations, so I decided that I would use the following LuminArte Silks Acrylic Glaze for her base color: Pretty Peridot, Fern, Key Lime, Bolivian Blue, Solar Gold, and Yellow Rose.
I applied several thin layers to the base allowing the shades of colors to peek through.
Once the Silks were dry, (which was almost immediately - love that), I decided I wanted more texture, so I stamped embossed her body, wings, and background. I love the texture that this added to the flat chipboard surface. To finish off these parts, I edged with Distress Ink, then rubbed Viva Colour Inka Gold Metallic Rub (in Gold) to the edges. I also rubbed the raised areas of embossing and it added the perfect highlight of gold glimmer.
I embellished my Art Angel with glitter, more embossing, and more Inka Gold. Inka Gold is perfect on metal embellishments for the same glitz as the rest of the project.
This was a rather quick project to complete and I really love how she turned out. What is your favorite use for Inka Gold? I'd love to know.
Thanks for stopping by! Please be sure and stop by again tomorrow for another project.
Have a great day!
Tina
