Renea Harrison- Design Team
This amazing altered work of art was created by Renea for the "Skeletons in the Closet" challege over at Scraps of Darkness. The background is canvas, coated with a gel medium and then painted. The chipboard brackets enclosing the canvas were also painted then coated with rock candy and glam. Sakura papers were used on this piece and the tree was fussy cut and added. Tiles were laid under the journal and snow tex was used to adhere them. The gate is a chipboard piece and contaings the journaling. The paper was constructed so the gates would open out to reveal the print.
Supplies: Creative Imaginations Sakura Papers, Canvas, Dusty Attic Bracket Frame and Gate, Prima vines & roses, Martha Stewart Punch, Gel Medium, Acrylic Paint, Digital Goth Image, Tattered Angels Glam, Tim Holtz Fragments
Celina Matthews- Scraps of Darkness Mistress of Mayhem
Celina selected a Geisha Image found on Photobucket to create her layout around. Scraps of Darkness encourages "alternative" techniques and true to form Celina altered the look of the gorgeous Pink Peony Sakura paper by using a Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Scarlet. She misted the paper to achieve the red tone to match the kimono in her photo! Embossing was done on the strip of paper cut to resemble the "Obi" in the photo. The flowers and leaves were cut on a Cricut.
Supplies: Creative Imaginations Sakura Paper, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Lindys Gold Embossing Powder, Petaloo Flowers, Cricut, Prima trinkets and rub ons, stickles, alcohol ink
So cool! Love your page, Renea!
