Hi, my name is Vicky Alberto (aka Simply Paper on in the online world) and I live in Alberta, Canada. Three years ago after having my daughter, I decided not to return to a corporate marketing job so I could raise my three young children. After 10 years in the marketing industry, scrapbooking was a natural extension of my work world to fill a creative void and I was instantly hooked. My style is best described as "a little shabby and a lot of chic". I adore adding layers, texture and flowers to my projects - handmade paper flowers are my passion (doilies and lace are my other weaknesses). I have "met" the most amazing ladies from all over the world through various online scrapbook communities and I now embrace (the thing I used to avoid) the internet to share and gain creative inspiration. My blog address Simply Paper and Creativity is where I chat about my work, the companies I design for, and share my tutorials. I also have an Etsy shop where I am proud to be one of the few to retail gorgeous chipboard from The Dusty Attic . I am so very thrilled to guest design for Creative Imaginations and was so excited when I was asked what paper lines that I would like to work with. It was tough to only choose a few since there has NEVER been an IOD line that I didn't like and I really adore Marah Johnson's stunning collections too.
Today I am sharing a brand new layout I created with the IOD Wild Spirit line. These gorgeous papers are featured in the Scrap That! August kit - just a few kits left so grab one soon before it sells out! I will also be teaching this layout, in Calgary, Alberta at Scrapbooker's Paradise on September 17th. The title is a Dusty Attic chipboard piece from my Etsy shop.
The picture is of my very supportive hubby who actually "gets" why I scrapbook since he is in a creative field himself. I was inspired by a Dusty Attic sketch for this layout. The warm and cool color combination of this paper collection is sunning don't you think?
Vicky, these are all so beautiful! I love how different and beautiful each one of your creations is!
