Splash of Color Blog: More with IOD Wild Spirit

Hi there, it's Eva here again and I am sharing two cards with the gorgeous brand new IOD Wild Spirit line. Have you been able to pick it up in the stores yet? I sure hope so, as they are very dreamy! I love the rich colors of this line! So let me start with my first card. I used IOD's Unity stamp set called Provencial Collection - My Dear. Such gorgeous image and sure had fun painting it with my Twinkling H2O's. I also used some pretty Petaloo flowers from their Color Me Crazy line.

Here are the steps to create this card:

- Create a 5.5" square card base out of black card stock

- Cut a 5" square from the brown Wild Spirit patterned paper, distress the edges, layer it on a 5.25" square cut from white card stock and adhere all that to card front.

- Stamp image using Memento ink on a piece of plain cotton fabric

- Paint image in with Twinkling H2O's (I used #26378 African Jade, #26376 Lemongrass, #26378 Olive Vine, # 26376 Apple Blossom, 26376 Yellow Rose). I dried my fabric and frayed the edges a little bit and layered it on black card stock.

- Cut a 2.5" x 5" wide panel from the blue Wild Spirit patterned paper, distress the edges.

- Punch a 5" border (I used Martha Stewart border punch) and paint it with Olive vine Twinnkling H2O. Cut it in half and use that half as a border on the panel, tie crinkled ribbon around it and adhere the panel to the card front.

- Using pop dots add the painted flower image on card front and add the Wild Spirit sticker sentiment along with Petaloo flowers.

My next card again is using the IOD Wild Spirit line and it's a quicker card to put together.

For this card I used a Samantha Walker Silhuette cutting file to lay my Wild Spirit stickers on and hopefully you can spy my Twinkling H2O painted half border left from my previous card.
