Today's Monday Inspiration feature is Freelance Designer and Artist Niki Meiners of North Carolina! Niki shared some wonderful projects using our New Wood!
Niki
realized
after a paralyzing illness she wanted to reconsider her career as a
National Sales Manager of a Fortune 500 company. Her thoughts
immediately turned to her first passion, art. In 2003 she began an
odyssey that would take her from product design to publication and
everywhere in between. She is known for her bold choice of color
combination, diverse mix of styles and highly creative approach to even
the smallest detail. She specializes in working with manufacturers to
create consumer friendly products. She is available for digital and
traditional publication, TV appearances, product demonstrations,
teaching, and consulting. Her work can be found in the industries
leading publications and manufacturers’ websites. Her favorite mediums
are Rubberstamps, Scrapbooking, Card making, Altered Art, Needle
Felting, Needle Punch, Beads and Jewelry, 3 Dimensional Paper Crafting
and Home Decor.
Above card is one of the projects Niki is teaching at the Inspired Event May 13-15th!
Niki created this adorable little box simply by cutting strips of our wood veneer and adhering it a rectangular box! She used chalk inks to give it an aged mossy effect!
Thank you so much Niki for sharing your beautiful work!
Your creations are positively lovely!
