Here is a great video from artist Karen Ellis at The Art House up in Canada. She is just such a wonderful creative person. I can only imagine how much fun she is as an instructor! If you are lucky enough to live in her area, you should check out her workshops. You can also learn so much from her on Friday nights, because she offers an upstream class and teaches you all about working in different mediums. In this upstream class, Karen is playing with our Black Viva Colour Pearl Pens and Twinkling H20s; she created some amazing magnets that would be great for DIY gifts. Karen is very versatile because she works in so many different areas of the arts, such as: painting, jewelry making, sewing, stamping, to name a few. She enjoys what she does which makes it easy for everyone to get inspired with motivation to create themselves and have fun with it. Thanks Karen for choosing to use are products! Enjoy.
Karen here, I had a great time playing with my art supplies on Friday Night's USTREAM. LOVE how my stamped magnets turned out!
These are "Twinkie" stamps by Catherine Scanlon that I stamped on 90lb Titian Watercolor Paper and then colored with some TWINKS from Luminarte. I mounted them on some heavy chipboard and then gave them a nice coat of Resin before letting them set overnight.
Once set, I mounted them on an adhesive Magnet Sheet and then trimmed them with a Black Viva Colour Pearl Pen. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.....
Did you notice the twinchie in the top left corner? I put a Bail Mount on it and then lined it with some felt -- can you say "perfect pendant?" I might just be wearing that soon *wink*
Here is the video of me creating. ENJOY
Thanks for your visit.
