I began by giving my pages some texture using Viva Colour Modeling paste smoothed over a stencil - this modeling paste is AMAZING. I have been using it for 3 or 4 years now and I am still in awe of it every time!
Then I covered it all with random swipes of glowing color using Silks acrylic glazes in Teal Zircon and Coral Berry. Look how perfectly crisp the edges of the Modeling Cream image are - THAT is Viva Colour!
I added some polka dots to my background using bubble wrap and Silks and then adhered a crochet edge trim in a few places. I used Viva Colour Inka Gold in Old Silver to bring out the texture of the modeling paste and crochet trim. I just got a thin bit of Inka on my finger and rubbed lightly across the textered areas to highlight them - This is one of my favorite ways to use Inka Gold!
I printed my quote and image from my computer - the image is available as a digital download from Dover Pictura and I highly recommend them as a fantastic resource for images for your work! I used chalk inks to take the printouts from stark white to better incorporate them into my background and inked the edges.
Viva Colour products pair up so perfectly with Luminarte and I just love working with them! Have you experimented with Viva Colour yet? It really gives demension to any of your pieces.
