Dion Dior is here today to give us an update on her most recent class.

I had a truly fabulous weekend at
The Gallery Off Broadway in Excelsior Springs Missouri, with 30 amazing, courageous, and very talented artists. "Art Of Luminescence" is all about shimmer, sparkle, shine, & untamed creativity.

We got to play with
some beautiful paints from
Luminarte, got our hands dirty (or should I say
sparkly) with some wonderful projects, and we all made lots of new
friends.

My daughter came along as a participant in the workshop, as did Kathleen's daughter, and as it turned out, they had the most glittering twinkling fun of all. ("Art of Luminescence" is a wonderful workshop experience for kids too.)
.

We stayed at
The Elms Hotel & Spa, which has been newly renovated. Although the indoor pool is almost finished, it wasn't open, and of course, with a 6yo in tow, going swimming was NOT an option...it was a MUST!! So we braved the sub-zero, mid-November, mid-western temperatures and hit the outdoor pool, which to my very great relief, was heated!

The Gallery Off Broadway looked incredible, which is by far one of the best venues I've ever worked in. Thank you so much to everyone who attended, and a HUGE thank you to the very talented, and tireless Kathleen Fenton and her team for making the venue look so sparkly and AMAZING.

.
Luminarte provided us with lots of paint to play with, as well as lots of product for people to buy.
.
.
.
.Kathleen is not only one of the most energetic, hard working gallery owners on the planet, she is also one of the most talented and intuitive artists I've every met. If you get an opportunity to attend a workshop there...don't miss it!! "
Art of Luminescence" will be running again in 2013 so stay tuned.

So, back home in my studio now, I'm shaking the last of the glitter out of my hair and turning my mind to other projects.
Thanks for visiting!
Oh looks like a FANTABULOUS TIME!!!
