I love using new mediums. When I went to an art retreat last week one class I took used encaustics. Encaustics are wax-based paints and contain resin for stability. They must be kept hot while you use them. Its like painting with melted crayons!
I made a simple abstract piece of art.
Why talk about encoustic painting? Because the Luminarte Primary Elements can be used with the hot wax! Many colorants can't take the heat, but Primary Elements are extremely versitle. And they look gorgeous!
The main backgroud here uses yellow ochre wax, and when combined with Golden Nugget pigment powder it becomes really much more exciting and beautiful.
So what are you using in your art? Acrylic mediums? Decopadge glue? Pull in some Luminarte Primary Elements and get some gorgeous color and shine.
