Today I would like to share 3 different techniques that can be done with LuminArte paints.
To make the ornament on this card, I used the Falling Snowflake Stencil with Blue Ice Radiant Rain. I wanted to make an ornament that resembled some of the hand blown glass decorations on my Christmas tree. I applied the Radiant Rain directly over the stencil and then sprayed on a layer of of Pearl Gold. I embossed a Lawn Fawn ornament stamp with gold on top of the stenciled area, and again on white paper. I cut out the colored ornament and just the center band from the white paper and layered them together. The white card front was spritzed with Egyptian Gold Shimmering Mist. After the tree branch and sentiment were stamped, I rounded the corners of the card. A gold thread was added to the front and pop dots were placed behind the ornament to give it dimension. Of course it needed a bow!
This card started with a piece of white Varnish Snowflake paper. The snowflake pattern was already embossed, so I applied a coat of Hot Cinnamon Radiant Rain to make the snowflakes really pop. A strip of patterned paper from the Holly Jolly Pad, and another piece with a scallop edge were layered over the snowflakes, and twine was wrapped around it. I stamped and painted the penguin in with some Twinkling H2O's, framed it with 2 colors of cardstock, and used pop dots to lift it up. A button and bow finished it off.
This beautiful bird image was painted directly with Twinkling H2O's. I stamped this twice, and painted one of the birds with several colors, letting them blend together. When it dried, I cut it out and layered it over the card front. The crown was covered with Glossy Accents to make it stand out. Don't you love birds wearing crowns? You can see a similiar Thanks You card over at my blog.
I really have enjoyed my week as guest designer here at Creative Imaginations. Thanks for all of your support!
