Introducing our new monthly feature ~ Techniques with Eva Dobilas!

Hi there, this is Eva here today.  I am bringing you a new monthly feature that will showcase some fun techniques each month!! This month I choose to work with our Real Wood paper and showing you how to use it in different ways.  To show of the techniques I created three different ATC's.

On my Life is Beautiful ATC I used Samantha Walkers Spellbinders Antique Frame and Accents. I simply diecut it and to highlight the design I dry brushed some white acrylic paint and that is all you need. To decorate my ATC I used Samantha Walker's Life is Beautiful Unity Stamp set, which I painted with Twinkling H2O's.

On my Love ATC I did some dry embossing and used Spellbinders new Valor M-Bossibilities folder. Once I embossed the paper I once again dry brushed some white acrylic paint over it to highlight the embossing. Love that affect of embossing real wood paper, definitely one of my favorite techniques. To finish off my ATC I used Marah Johnson's Monarch Die cut frames, which I painted in with Twinkling H2O's. The Love stamp is by Justrite Stamps from their Winter Words set.

My last ATC is showcasing wet embossing on real wood paper. For this ATC I worked with My Favorite Things Inspired by Butterflies and Inspired by Love sets. I simply inked up my butterfly stamp with Versamark embossing ink pad and using White embossing powder I embossed it and here is what it looks like. Once I embossed it, I just painted it with Twinkling H2O's.

Cards by Alice featuring New Paint it! papers and LuminArte!

Hello and thanks for visitng today!  It's Alice with another round of cards featuring the latest and greatest products from Creative Imaginations.

I'm starting with a NEW line from our, "Paint It" paper collection called, " Love Blooms." 

Did you get a chance to visit our booth at CHA?  if you did, you were the lucky few to see this line up close.  The line comes with brads, die shapes and six pattern papers.

I really like our Paint It line since I Love using our Twinkling H2O and Luminarte products.  This paper line has no wrong or right way to use it.  All you need is a little Creative Imaginations...tada!

You can use this line to add color or leave it blank and die cut from it.  The possibilities are endless.  You can mix the lines too, just like I did here.  I used Nastalgia and Love Blooms. Both collections ship to stores March 2012

Next up...Nastalgia...ooh la la!!!!

Here's another Paint It line called, "Nostalgia."  Isn't this line just beautiful?  Again you can color to your heart's content using this line. I mixed it up with the Love Blooms collection and it tottaly works for the look I was going for on my design.

This line comes with brads, die shapes and six pattern papers to play with...oh my!


For those of us who love the bling bling.  You can Luminarte or use the Twinks til the cows come home.  I loved playing with these two lines and I know you will too.

New "Love Blooms" Paint-it collection!

Hi....this is Alicia, and I am thrilled to showcase the new Love Blooms Paint-it collection.  These papers are so versatile and so much fun to play with.  I created this beautiful page with my daughter's homecoming photos and I loved the hearts and florals on the papers I used.   I just chose different colors of Luminarte paints to paint the flowers and look how the floral pattern really popped when they were painted.

 

 

I also sprayed the background with some of the pretty Luminarte Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist for extra color. 

Alice made this gorgeous card with the Love Blooms collection too.
