Hi there...I hope you enjoy my projects today. I have had the best time creating with Creative Imaginations! I know you will too.

For this layout - Love - I used the following:

IOD Loolah polka dot paper

IOD Loolah Ladybug

IOD Loolah 12x12 Sticker Sheet

Twinking H2O's in Indian Copper, Coral Berry and Sunburst

IOD Epoxy sheet

misc chipboard letters, sticklers and red cardstock

I took the ladubug paper and cut around the flowers on both corners so that I could slip my picture behind the flowers. Then I was able to mat on the red cardstock and again on the red polka dot paper. Once I had everything adhered down I used the flowers and lady bugs from the sticker sheet and layered them over the picture and patterned paper. I coated the chipboard letters with three different colors of Twinking H2O's and then adhered to the layout. For finishing touches I added a few ladybugs with some pop up glue dots, doodling and sticklers.

 I have had these Harry Potter stamps forever! When I first saw this paper line I knew I had to have it and exactly what I was going to do with it. Now I can preserve my collector stamps and actually show them off instead of stashing them away under tons of papers never to be seen. For this layout I used:

Twinkling H2O's nutmeg

I inked the edges of the Scroll Paper and also added some nutmeg H2O's around the scroll part of the paper so that it would look more aged. The stamps and invite card were adhered down and then I was able to apply the stickers and wax seals around the stamps. Add a few journaling strips and some pen work and then you are done. A "non" picture layout :)

Hello Everyone my name is Becky Thackston and I am so excited to share some projects with you. I live in the current hot and sticky state...Georgia. There is nothing like the hot summers in the south. 
I work full time in the medical field and in my spare time I love anything craft related. Here is a little bit about me...

I LOVE anything and everything craft related. When I was a small child I would sit around and draw all the time. This followed me on into the teenager years. After I had my children, I was introduced to scrapbooking. That was 17 years ago and I haven't stopped yet. it is such a wonderful, creative outlet for me. Over the last few years I have added altered art, painting and quilting to the mix of fun crafts.

I also love dabbling with photography. I could never figure out how to work my camera on manual but set it on automatic and I can go to town taking pictures. I love grabbing those candid moments or super close ups of items that wouldn't normally get photographed. I even entered a few pictures into an art show a few years back. We introduced our first grandchild into our home earlier this year so she has now become my main focus with pictures. (my son is happy that someone else is getting their picture made)!

My scrapping style has changed so much over the years but I feel I have finally settled down into a style that works for me. 90% of my layouts will contain doodling and journaling strips. I've been told this is my signature style and to not change it...so...I've been leaving it for now. Here is a sneak peak of a layout using Creative Imaginations and IOD.

When you give a girl some flowers, lace, ribbon, pearls, doilies, photos, and the BE LOVED collection....this is what happens...You end up with a vintage, feminine heart mini album, perfect for relationship album!

 Yes, that is my Wedding photo from back in 1992.  I love seeing how different we are from then to now.  Pictures are so precious...they tell so much about how everything changes and grows.  Such an important part of life.  All of these photos have different memories to them which is what makes this book so very special to me.    

Thank you for letting me share these  albums with you the past couple days and all your kind comments.  Scrappy friends are so precious, I truly am blessed with all of the great friendships I have made over the years through this great hobby we all share such passion for! I hope you will all stop by my blog: For the Love of Art so that I can keep up with each and every one of you!

Sweet Summertime....

There is nothing better than the smell of the ocean breeze, picking up seashells, and riding the waves....Just the thought of it brings me to my favorite place...Watch Hill, Rhode Island....So peaceful, makes you forget all the stresses of daily life....No place I would rather be!

The OCEANA collection is just perfect for this little pocketbook album that I put together with my favorite pictures of the times we have spent at Watch Hill.  Of course, I had to add some sand dollars, seashells and some special trinkets I have collected from the many of visits we have had there. I think thats the best part of Scrapbooking...you can always add your own embellishments that have special meaning to your project.  Here are a couple photos of this new treasure that I created:   

 
 
 
 
 
 

I really enjoyed working with this collection, it is super perfect for all those beach pictures we all take on our vacations!

Mini Album with Summer Play Collection

Hi, Lynn here to share a super easy and fun mini album using the Signature Collection "Summer Play". As Eva mentioned earlier this collection is great for mini albums as the papers are divided into four six by six squares of coordinating summery patterns. I created this album with the young scrapbooker in mind. This would be a great project to do with a daughter, niece or any young crafter, especially as a summer project or at a crop. The cover was fun to create and easily decorated with the use of a few My Favorite Things Die-namics Dies....

Hey there everyone!  Meg Giroux here.... 

I am so excited to be joining you for the next couple days!  Some of you may already know me but for all of you that I haven't met yet...Hello!!!  

 

A little bit about me: 

I live in good old Massachusetts, I met my Husband in 3rd grade...I used to chase him around on the playground and we went through school together. We didn't start dating till the end of Sophomore Year of High School back in 1986.  We have been married for 18 1/2 years now, we have a wonderful, sweet teenage Daughter,  a spoiled rotten chocolate lab and a crazy cat. I spend most of my time outdoors, hiking, biking, camping, and boating.  I have been scrapping since my Daughter was little back in 1998 when I attended a CM party at my Sister's house, and I have been hooked ever since! I have been very lucky to be on a couple Design Teams and teach cards classes at my LSS.  I try not to go a day with out something scrappy in my life, whether it is just following up on my DT work, reading a good inspirational scrap magazine, catching up on blogs or locking myself in my Scrap room to create!  I am so honored to be sharing my work with you here and getting to meet some new online friends!    

This week I will be sharing with you a couple things I have put together but for now, I will leave you with a little sneak peek of a card I made with the IOD Beloved Collection

Everyone's A Winner

Hey there!! It's Tanisha here with an adorable project created with the Signature Collection Camp line.  As we all know, it's June, which means school is about to end.  If your children are anything like mine, then you will soon be bombarded with refrains of "I'm bored" and "I'm hungry".  Boy if I had a penny...

I have decided to make up some fun games and ideas for my boys to keep them busy and out of the boredom kingdom.  I created these adorable ribbons to award them for good behavior, etc...  Clever idea, right?  These were super easy to create, too!

Instructions:

1.  Punch 2- 1 1/2" x 6" strips, 2- 1" x 6" strips, and 2 circles from patterned papers.

2.  Score and fold the 2- 1 1/2" x 6" strips every 1/4".  Adhere both ends together. Press down to form a pleated circle and hold

3.  Adhere 1 circle to the front.

4.  Adhere the  2- 1" x 6" strips to the 2nd circle and then affix to the baco ot the pleated circle.

Optional:  punch decorative borders in the 2- 1 1/2" x 6" strips before pleating for a different look.

hello! it's Jenn here... living on Cape Cod, I am constantly inspired by the ocean... still in LOVE with the luminarte stencils that Christine Adolph designed. When I opened my bag of may arts goodies..... one ribbon stood out at me, looking like seaweed, or coral... and it inspired my whole project!

I started with a 4x6 piece of white mat board, using the 12x12 oceana stencil I spread modeling paste through it and heat set it to dry. I then played with twinkling h2o's layering colors on my background. I also colored the may arts ribbon with the h2o's making it green. I used the twinkling H2o's to stencil my mermaid, and to add color in the back ground of my words. For the quote I used alphabet letters to stamp it out.
I used Tim's Tiny Attacher to attach my sinamay and ribbon. I used Claudine Hellmuth's matte medium to attach my words, mermaid and shells!

May Arts Blog Hop: Miss you card

Hi Everyone!  It's Nicole here excited to share a card I made lfor the Blog Hop featuring some really gorgeous May Arts ribbon.  I was also excited to get my hands on some of the new "Devotion" collection by IOD...it's just beautiful!

I went a little nuts with the pleating...I just love the texture!  You can see I pleated the coral colored May Arts ribbonacross the with of the card, then adhered a strip of Creative Cafe velvet scallop trim to help keep the pleats laying flat.  then I misted some of the May Arts ribbon with LuminArte Eqypitan Gold Radiant Rain to give it a little bit of a worn look to match the paper.  Then I pleated a little flower onto a punched paper circle using some super strong adhesive.
