Design team member, Tanisha Long created an adorable layout of her son, Xander's Halloween adventure!
I have wanted to scrap this photo of my son since the day I took it. Although the layout is about Halloween, I didn’t want to use themed products. The leaves in the photo inspired me to use the Harvest line. I think the muted colors really allow the photo to pop.
CI Supplies Used:
- Samantha Walker Harvest
- 27169 Harvest Stripe
- 27170 Harvest Dots
- 27172 Harvest Leaves
- 27171 Harvest Houndstooth
- 27175 Harvest Epoxy
- 27174 Harvest Stickers
- Creative Cafe
- 18391 First Class Alphabet
- Twine, button, dymo label, ribbon and ink
Instructions
Use the black side of Harvest Houndstooth as the background.
- Cut cream side of Harvest Dots to 10 ¼” x 10 ¼” and adhere to the center of the background.
- Cut green side of Harvest Dots to 10” x 2 ¾” and adhere to the top of the strip from step 2.
- Cut 10” x 5 ¼” strip from orange side of Harvest Houndstooth and adhere it beneath the previous strip.
- Cut 10” x 2” strip from striped side of Harvest Stripe, tear bottom edge and adhere it to the layout.
- Adhere ribbon to the layout as ahown.
- Ink chipboard alpha and adhere to the top of the layout.
- Journal on strips and adhere to the layout.
- Embellish with stickers, hand cut leaves, twine, and buttons.
I like to use the non traditional look as well. Your photo does stand out, and makes it the focal point!
