Back in summer 07 while in Chicago at CHA, Marah Johnson and Christine Adolph had a brainstorm after talking with some sales reps about how their design styles complimented each other. After the show they started concepting the idea of Melange. Melange essentially means a "mixture" and this is exactly what you will find in this brand. We take Marah's edgy rock and roll style (think skulls and guitars) and combined it with Christine Adolph's textures, swirls and butterflies and there you have Melange. They had a soft launch of the brand at the summer CHA08 show with a few holiday collections. Their real "baby" will be introduced at the coming CHAwinter 09 show though. So here it is. This collection is called "Rock a Bye Baby". We are super excited about it. Here is a little sneak peak. (Photos by Marah Johnson)
Cardmaker’s Workshop was designed for the masses. Not just the masses of crafty people who like to make cards but the people who have to make masses of cards! While writing The Cardmaker’s Workbook (Quarry 2008) I realized that there weren’t any affordable options for uniquely constructed cards that come in multiples. Cardmaker’s Workshop fills that niche—very nicely. The first release of our line is very universal. We picked colors and construction styles that can be used for everything from bar-b-que invites to wedding shower thank yous. Our cards are reversible too! We’ve also put together sets of birthday, baby and wedding rub-ons that come in the multiples you need for invites, and thank yous. We’re also introducing printable cardstock stickers that can be used in your inkjet for easy card information (like the who, what, when, and where).
The colors in the Cardmaker’s Workshop line coordinate with many of the other CI paper lines. Feel free to add a little here or there for unique cards.
Brushstrokes is my new paper line and the first release is Piece of Cake. This line was developed using the same techniques I use in my fine art pieces including, collage and found items. I enjoy scavenging through flea markets and antique fairs (especially Brimfield, MA show that takes place in May, July and September). I’m always on the lookout for interesting books and papers. In this series I used a lot of sheet music of marches and songs about candles and balloons.
The colors are bright and electric and the papers can easily change their look and feel by which neutral or solid color you choose to pair them with.
I am especially fond of the balloon animal that pops up on some of the paper and some of the stickers. I actually can make a pretty mean balloon dog, hat, fish, sword, etc.
This entire line also pairs nicely with the Cardmaker’s Workshop—pretty smart eh?
One of my best selling collections to date, was my original SPORTZ collections, which have been a good thing.
However, it was time for something new. So I created new SPORTS collections there are 4 collections releasing with Creative Imaginations at the Winter show in California. Also, releasing with Hampton Art are coordinating clear stamp sets. Both of these collections could be used with my recently released SPORTS MANIA Cricut cartridge, which has been several years in the making from Provo Craft.
The newest Magic Collection is in stores now, and includes: a new chipboard book, transparency, swatchpacks and a mini autograph book too! There are even new brads and glitter paper to capture all the magic of your trip.

With 2 girls in our house and a secret adoration for a little sparkle, I thoroughly enjoyed exploring some of my ideas for adding layers of glitter and sparkle when designing the original Radiance Collection. My art director and I really explored some new territories for how to achieve the different affects I was after and when I received my first samples, the results were stunning, truly beyond my expectations. I knew that we had magically hit something unique. The results were certainly verified when my oldest daughter came across my same sample later that day and all she could say was, “Wow, Mom.” Can I have this?
While Radiance was released in October around the holiday season, it works for a wide variety of themes, such as wedding, anniversaries and anything where a little BLING is desired.
Radiance II is an expansion of the original Radiance, with new papers and epoxies and rub ons that not only add glitter and rhinestone, but shimmer and shine with foil. Perfect for the upcoming Prom and Wedding season, but certainly not beyond using just because you love a little sparkle.
My inspiration for Maggie's Garden came from my love for cottage life and my daughter Maggie who fits the mold perfectly for loving the outdoors and nature. The two combined made for magical inspiration!
Both of these beautiful new collections begin shipping to stores in March!
Amore is the newest release by artist, Marah Johnson. Amore is an updated version of Marah's Bliss collection! Nearly four years since it's release, Bliss is still popular!
