I am continually amazed at the amount of talent and beautiful work I notice when visiting stores or looking through on-line galleries. Recently I noticed this simplistic and beautiful layout designed by Betty Adkins. Thank you Betty for allowing us to post your work and bit about yourself and the inspiration behind the finished layout!
Hi, my name is Betty Adkins and i have been scrapbooking for about 5 years now and love it! My oldest daughter got me started and now i am totally hooked!
All three of my daughters scrapbook as well as my 12 year old and 6 year old granddaughters!
I am grandmother to four beautiful granddaughters ages 6 months to 12 years old! They are the main source of inspiration for my pages.
I am a paper addict and a collector of scrappin' supplies! :) I just love the new Art Warehouse Harvest Moon die cut paper from Creative Imaginations! (They have the best new die-cut papers!! I want them all! )
My favorite season is fall and i had been wanting to do a page with a tree and leaves on it and knew i wanted to use black as the background paper instead of a patterned paper, when i saw this die cut paper i thought it would be perfect!! I originally bought it for a Halloween page so i just reordered more! :)
The inspiration for this layout came from a recent trip to our local apple orchard.
One of my daughters took this picture of Karissa and i knew it was just the kind of photo i needed to complete this layout. I love her rosy cheeks in this photo... It was a crisp fall day perfect for picking apples and taking pics!
