12 Days of Christmas Giveaways - Day Six
A winner for Day Five ~ Angel W "What inspiring projects you are showing us! I'd love to get my hands on the winter garden collection and josh blocks! Keep the GREAT ideas coming. Thank you Angel for your comment and enjoy your gift!
Long gone are the days of wrapping paper filled livingrooms, scrambling for last minute batteries and late nights putting together toys for the little ones. It has been a few years since I shopped at our local Toy store or brought the children, list in hand, to sit on Santa's Lap.
Oh I still receive wish lists from my boys, but with the exception of a few specific requests, I find that their preference is gift cards. My Holiday shopping is now so much easier with a click of a mouse my shopping is done in hours not days.

This year I have added a personalized handmade touch to every plastic gift card I have purchased for a family member, teacher, mailman or paperboy. The Bare Elements Veronika Gift Card is a quick and easy solution to adding a special message to those on your list.
Supplies
- #16352 Bare Elements Veronika Gift Card Holder
- #18570 Teamwork Glitter Paper
- #18571 Chilly Paper
- #18572 Snow Day paper
- #18573 Snowglobe epoxy stickers
- white ribbon
- fine line black detail pen
- glue
Instructions:
- Cut and adhere a 5-1/2x5/12 square from #18572 Snow Day paper to front of #16352 Bare Elements Veronika Gift Card Holder. Using a glue dot add a small piece of white ribbon sandwiched between the Snow day paper and the Veronika Gift card holder.
- Cut and adhere from #18571 Chilly Paper, star strip, team work strip and red stripe. Adhere along bottom of front cover as shown.
- Outside back cover: Cut one piece from #18572 Snow Day paper and adhere sandwiching another small piece of white ribbon for closure.
- Inside of Gift card holder: Cut a 5-1/2 square from #18572 Snow Day paper and adhere to left side of inside cover adding small snowglobe from #18573 Snowglobe epoxy stickers on left corner. Adhere a 5-1/2" square cut from #18570 Teamwork Glitter Paper to inside right page. {Tip: take a photo copy of the right side for a quick and easy template for cutting away the card holder portion} Adhere to right side after cutting away opening for gift card.
- Add Small tree and red stripe from #18571 Chilly Paper and adhere along bottom. Add stars from #18573 Snowglobe epoxy stickers to trees along the bottom.
Add fine black pen stitching along outside and inside border. Add gift card and place under the tree!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from The Mezzetti Family!

I have a bunch of these and have altered a couple so far. I love them!!! Especially since the niece and nephews are getting older and want electronic stuff. Gift cards are wonderful! Cute ideas as always! I'm loving this blog! I'd love to work with some Narratives line and since I am really into altering right now, Sydney, BE!
Thanks for the ideas and the chance to win!

Great ideas!
I wish my local Big Box stores (no LSS) carried more Creative Imaginations. Or any at all for that matter.
Today I am lusting for your Art Warehouse rub on swatchbooks (the alphabet ones- oh my!), the Danelle chipboard book, and all the Narratives papers (especially the ones with ledger designs and scalloped edges!)

That is so very cute. I am a big fan of all things CI and the Bare Elements line is such fun. I particularly like the wood word CREATE. And again, the Narratives Antique Cream has to be my favourite paper line.

As all the days before: I ADORE the castle (must have made 6 so far, gave 5 away :)) and love Narrative paper and anything rub-on And then I mean ANYTHING rub-on!
Merry Christmas to you all!

What a great way to personalize a "generic" gift card or money!!! That Bare Elements gift card holder just fits the ticket! Most of the work is already done! And the epoxy snowglobe sticker just adds the right punch! Thanks for a great idea to "spruce up" a gift card holder!

This is just what I have been looking for... I was going to make little boxes for the giftcards, but this is great.. and they can use it for a picture after the gift card is out.

Gift cards are all the rage these days. I love the concept of personalizing something that otherwise looks like it was a last minute, thoughtless gift.
I printed the directions and plan on cutting the paper tonight for our group lunch crop tomorrow. Thanks again for the great idea!

Awesome contest! Another cute project as well. My favorites from the CI lines have to be the Winter Garden Collection, and I can't pick JUST one of the Bare Essentials... I love the Sonja purse and the Josh blocks though. jostamper@nycap.rr.com

My favourite Bare Elements is the adorable Danelle Box-with 12 Books. My favourite CI collection is Marah Johnson's Intention collection.

Love seeing projects with CI materials! I would really like some Narratives Antique Cream product - Karen's stuff is all great and hard to find in stores!

Oh my gosh that is so awesome ... I have never seen the gift card holder. AWESOME!!
I wish that my craft store (no LSS here) carried more CI stuff. They have some - but I love all the Narratives collections and they do not have it. I love the BE stuff too - so fun to play with. My fav is the castle.

I LOVE your projects. They are all so creative and turn out just adorable! I'm falling in love with Chistine Adolph! I didn't know she was the one who made the "Tea Time" line! I own all of those papers.
All I want for Christmas is.... the Sam box and the Winter Garden collection.... and my two front teeth!
What a beautiful collection!

Really love the bare element products. Checked out the collections and really like the Marquis. Some of the b.e. that I don't have yet and would love to win are the Yvonnie wooden organizer, Sam, and the Reyna Castle book. Cool contest.

I'm continually amazed at the fresh ideas you guys bring to us addicted scrappers!
I'm dying to alter a Scraplight (not available yet in my area). I'd love to embellish it with anything from the Narratives line, especially some of the paper ribbon!!!

This is beautiful! I am in love with the Tammy Push Pins and Danelle Box-with 12 Books. CI has so many FUN things.

I, too, have a difficult time when the name I draw is simply a gift card. Love the idea of personalizing this type of gift. Merry Christmas to all.

What a great way to dress up a gift card for my mail carrier, newspaper delivery person, and hairdresser! I'm going to try this out tonight. No matter how many days of Christmas there are, my favorite BE product has to be the calendars, as they make gift giving easier for the folks who have everything.
