Chunky ATC's

This is my third and final Guest Design team post.......and I chose to create two VERY different Chunky ATC's. I have ALWAYS wanted to make one, so a friend of mine was sooo kind as to cut up a 2 x 4 for me.....hehehe now I have LOTS of blanks!

For my first ATC, I used papers and embellies from the IOD~ Preposterous line......ps LOVE IT!
I began by covering the white painted Chunky with the back side of the paper...
Preposterous

I created the entire Chunky ATC around the
Preposterous ~ Chipboard Sticker
isn't the little girl....just ADORABLE!!

I chose several other
Preposterous ~ Diecut shapes
to embelish my creation.

I adhered the
Preposterous ~ Tranparent Diecut Shape
to a piece of
Preposterous ~ Naivete
the perfect banner for my ATC

For an accent I colored a paper flower with
Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist ~ Butternut and
Twinkling H2O's

For my second CHUNKY ATC I put my Mixed Media hat on!

I adhered Tissuestock with gel medium,
added a layer of gesso
and let the spritzing begin with
LOTS of Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist!

I spritz various puddles of Radaint Rain ~ Shimmering Mists on my craft mat,
pulled out a paint brush
and created my striped ballon!
And finished it off the word BLISS from the
Antique Words!

Birds of a Feather!

Hey there, Tanisha here to share a couple of projects that I created with Debbie Mumm's gorgeous Song Birds Collection. This is one of those lines that I fall more and more in love with every time I look at it. It's filled with adorable little treasures like the tiny peach flowers in the die cut pack to the clever little phrases that inspired the title for my layout.

I started my layout by layering patterned papers, cardstock, and a border punched strip of wood to create the background. I lightly spritzed the lightest part of the background with Luminarte Butternut Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist.

Since this line has a lot of nature elements, I added flowers, a spray, and jute to add to textural interest.

I used a paint brush and Luminarte Butternut Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist to paint the chipboard photo corners.

I used the design of the layout and some of the same elelements to create a frame.

It's been quite a while since I have put my hands to creating ATC's.
OMW....can I just say I am having WAY TOO MUCH fun creating these little ditties!!



Such a small canvas to pack loads of creative goodness on!!

My first ATC was created using a
Wood ATC

I spritzed it with Radiant Rain Shimmering Mists
I stamped on it.
I painted on some Twinking H2O's

I created a flower using
Paint It! ~ Jardin

For my second ATC...

I used the
Antique ATC Pack
along with
Paint It! ~ Nostalgia Shapes
Paint It! ~ Antique Words
and lots of
Radiant Rain ~ Shimmering Mists

My last ATC...

Hi Everybody.....My name is Lynne Forsythe and I hail from the small but BEAUTIFUL state of NH! I have been creative all my life but was introduced to the paper crafting industry about 5 years ago. I began making scrapbook pages then progressed to card making and now have emersed myself in the Mixed Media genre. I work for my LSS along with teaching classes at various stores and events. It's an honor and a priveledge to get to share my creations with you this week!!

When creating, I love to alter what ever medium I am working with, paper, fabric, ribbon/lace.....with COLOR. I think that is why I absolutely fell in love the LuminArte line of products which sooo compliment the rest of the Creative Imaginations offerings!

For my first project I chose to make a card.

I began by spritzing the canvas card with a mixture of Radiant Rain Shimmering Mists.
Butternut
Spanish Moss
Persimmon

I then pulled out a couple papers from the IOD ~ Preposterous line
Whimsical
Playful

I diecut a flower from the papers, when finished I misted it with
Butternut ~ Radiant Rain

I created the leaves for my flower from one of the
Black ATC's

Do you see the YUMMMIE shimmery green on the leaves???
I acheived that look by mixing up a batch of Primary Elements
Costa Rica ~ Olive Green

I finished off the card with
Antique Words



Once I began playing with the Primary Elements....I wanted to try more things!!
So I pulled out a
Black ATC
and let the creative process flow!

Now, before I go any further....
The concoction that I used was
Primary Element Colors and
Glaze Medium.



This time I added Primary Elements
Majestic
to the mix!

I painted it on a paper flower,
Mixed it with Olive Green,
I dipped a canvas flower into a watered down version,
Painted with the watered down version on the
Paint It! ~ Umbrella
Dipped paper in it
Tried stamping with it
(would have work had it not been a fluted surface)
still loved the result.

Finished up with leaves cut from a piece of
Kraft ATC
and painted with the Primary Elements ~ Olive Green.

Same Product 3 Ways: Shelley Hamilton

Hi guys, Shelley, here!  I made this fun little hanging with the Song Birds line. 

 


I covered the chipboard bird with paper from the 6"x6" Song Bird pad.  I used leaf and vine diecuts from the Song Birds line.  I made the flowers by diecutting banana leaf paper, stamping them, then finishing them off with glass beads.

The banana leaf paper gives such an interesting texture for the flower petals.  This beautiful green color really brightens up the project!

 

On this page, I used the Debbie Mumm Songbirds diecuts with Sunburst Luminarte H20's on the yellow butterflies and Mediterrannean Luminarte H20's on the blue one.  The Luminarte makes them sparkle!  I also used Silks paints in Solar Gold on the small flower, and Sky Blue Silks on the little dots on the blue butterfly.  To finish out this "Peaceful" project, I used Swarovski eye candy crystals in several different colors. Thanks for letting me share this project with you!
